Venus and WINE!

I have a surprise for you! Are you excited? Please get excited. This is the kind of impress-your-friends-and-look-smarter surprise. Drumroll please….Vino!
Vino. Doesn’t that word just slide off the tongue?
Well, I guess technically it’s not Vino. I lied.. sorry. Vino means wine and comes from the Sanskrit word Venas, which me ands to love. Venas, sounds familiar huh? Sound a bit like Venus, perhaps? Venus as in the Roman goddess of love (or Aphrodite for my greek friends out there.)
Wine. Vino. Venus. Love. Pleasure…… i’m sensing a pattern here.
Of course the drink the is desired and pleasurable and often is the medicine and intoxicant for love derives from dear Venus herself.
So what have you learned: Wine = Veno. Veno = Venus. Venus = love and pleasure. (Now put it all together please.)
Wine = love and pleasure. Now that’s something i’m sure we all were well aware of.
There we go, some awesome cool fact to throw out at that awkward family reunion, friendly meet up or even wine-sipping first date. You’re welcome.
