Paris in the Spring!

Ooh La La! Paris in the Springtime… written about for so many centuries that the words are synonymous with Romance. Paris awakens from the gray chill and welcomes blooming trees, tulips, blue skies, and sundresses. Open air markets flourish and everyone offers a smile. Our favorite thing to do on a beautiful spring day? WALK. Stroll down busy boulevards, meander through quiet cobblestoned streets, picnic by the Seine and relax in one of the many famed parks of Paris with a gourmet picnic lunch…The parks in Paris are grandiose and well-kept and the Jardin du Luxembourg is our favorite. The octagonal pond where children sail their toys boats is located in front of the grande palais. Join us on a private tour of the Palace which has been home to the Duke of Luxembourg, the widow of the murdered King Henry IV – Marie de Medici, a French Revolutionary prison, the headquarters of the Luftwaffe during WWII and finally, and now it’s the home of the current French Senate. As they say, “if only walls could speak.”
And finally, this year is the 10th anniversary of the Nuitdesmusees! Museum Night! On May 17th, over 200 museums, galleries and monuments are free to the public from 7 pm to 1 am which means a big celebration! Each venue offers something special to its guests and it’s always a surprise! But, VIP treatment is a must with the crowds… join Chasing Atlas for a magical week exploring Paris in the Spring. Make it your own.
